My Hawkeye runs 200gr Hornadys @ 2480fps with 47.0grs H4895 - 1.25 - 1.5" 5 shot groups and 225gr Accubonds @ 2428fps with 47.0grs H4895 with 1" groups.

My BLR loves a 200 gr Hornady and 39.5 grains of IMR-4198. COL 2.685. 2450 FPS.
It will actually keep 3 rounds in a cloverleaf if I shoot 2, let the barrel rest and shoot one more. Under an inch. Very accurate considering it's a lever action.
I felt that this was a max load in my rifle. 40 gr of IMR-4198 gave me erratic chrony readings between 2390-2460 fps.

Jim I too am using the 200gr TTSX w/Norma 201. The bullet looks good in the case and I feel it definitely has a higher BC than the listed .370. It'll be my first year to shoot it and I'm chomping at the bit to blood it on one of our Texas whitetails. powdr

I have been running 200 gr Interlocks over 47.5 gr of IMR-3031 in Hornady brass. This is in Ruger Hawkeye and hits about 2,540 fps from the 22" barrel. With Winchester brass the max book load of 49 gr hits 2,660. Neither load shoots internet sized groups but both are a bit under 1.5 inches. The load with Hornady brass dropped a smallish buck in its track yesterday at about 40 yards.

This was my load when I had the .358 BLR. Knocked the snot out of deer and hogs.

I used a max load of W-748 under a 225 gr Partition that worked like a charm, but that was in a bolt action - not sure about a BLR.

My go to load for my older BLR is 200gr Hornady RN over 47gr IMR 3031 and Win Primer. 44.5gr of IMR4064 is no slouch either. Both can produce consistantly fine accuracy. Handy woods rifle!

Like 3031 in both my Whelen and the 358 I used to have. 748 is too slow and bulky.
