I have an older Remington 722 in .244, which has the slower twist barrel...what are the odds 95gr Nosler Partitions would adequately stabilize in the rifle?

Fug odds just try them if they don't shoot get the 90 bt and go.

If the 95 Partition won't shoot the 90 grain BT won't for sure as it's even longer.

If the 95 doesn't shoot try the 85 Partition. Its a shorter bullet that should work.

Had a friend in the same situation. The BT' s were not stabilized and he didn't know why. I told him to use the 95 Partitions and they worked fine. Yep, the 85 Partitions are another option.

Edit: actually, he mY have been shooting TTSX's. At any rate, the Partitions worked.

If BT it's due to a plastic tipped bullet generally being longer for weight.

It depends on the rifle. I had a 722 in .244 Rem and it shot 100 gr bullets very well

85 grain Partitions have done well for me as far as accuracy and performance goes out of my 722 .244 out to as far as 600-700 yards. Longer kills have been interesting... "flinch" followed by 5-10 steps and a "flop" after a 85g NP to the chest cavity has been the "norm" for those half dozen or so examples I can think of... mostly antelope. Whitetails have usually run 50-75 yards before going down... my general experiences on animals I have been able to watch after the shot, FWIW.
