Gentlemen, I have a collection of reloading bookmarks encompassing a wide variety of handgun load data, both new and old. Everybody here has a similar database, I'm sure. We see a fair number of posts, asking for load data, so I thought I'd post my collection of links to all the databases and manuals that I've found. (Remember, you can download the PDF files to your own computer so that you have them for all time, no matter what happens to the link on the internet.) Feel free to post any other links and maybe we can help our friends find what they need. Thanks Wade! That NATO Reloading website looks very interesting to me as I load a lot of both 9mm and 5.56.

That picture of Harry Pope and Phil Sharpe at the first of "Complete Guide to Handloading" is priceless.

Rick, after Waders going to all the trouble to put this together, it should be a sticky. Too much good info to get lost in time.
Thanks Waders!

I have the book!! Found it in a used book store in Placerville, CA when I lived there till 5 years ago. And thanks for posting the links. I've got a few and when I have time and inclination I'll add any I have not included above.

I have a 1941 copy of that book. The powder history section will actually allow you to trace some of the more modern powders back to their roots. First and Second editions are actually getting quite rare in usable condition and the price reflects it. 1953 and 1988 editions are all over the place price wise.

I like old reloading manuals too. The Ackley is a first edition from 1962 and the Sharpe is a third from 1952. Both my Father’s. I have quite a few from when I started reloading, around 1960, till present. My favorite is Ken Waters 2 volume Pet Loads, which I use a lot. Manuals, like firearms, are great to collect.

I don’t load for many cartridges, and I have used the same load data for 50+ years. When I found a recipe I liked, I don’t change. Exceptions would be when a Particular component is No longer available.

I actually met Phil Sharpe. I was a little guy and don't really remember much- he died in 1959 when I was 6. My father was buddy's with a neighbor of Phil's and they went over to Sharpe's a few times with me in tow. Mainly I remember the concussive reports of the rifles those guys shot- a .30-06 Springfield can be pretty impressive to a 4 or 5 year old standing six feet behind with no hearing protection. (Ear muffs? What're those? It ain't cold out.)
Later, at Sharpe's estate sale, my Dad scored a huge pile of '06 ammo for cheap- mostly Frankford Arsenal match stuff from the 30's. Being frugal, he saved the brass which led to his getting into reloading. I still have a few pieces of that brass (and two sealed boxes of that ammo). It's good stuff and every now and then I load and shoot a couple mainly for nostalgic reasons, as a nod to a very tenuous connection to one of the greats in the evolution of handloading. (Sharpe, not my Old Man!)
