I just acquired a Bergara BMR Synthetic stock, Carbon barrel .22 rimfire. This rifle will be used for plinking 50-100 yards. Small game hunting. I have 3 scopes available: Leupold VX2 2-7 CDS, Zeiss 3-9X40 Conquest, Weaver 3.5-10X50. Generally dont like scopes that look GIANT on a small rifle. Wanted to hear from guys that shoot rimfire a lot. Which scope would you choose on this type of rifle? Why? Oh yeah I have a SilencerCo Sparrow on order.

What I would want is one with parallax correction. If you’re committed to one of those mentioned, set them on a steady support and check-to see which has the least shift as you move your head around at the magnification you expect to use.

I’d probably use the 2-7 or 3-9.

The 2-7 does not shift at all. The other 2 shift some. The 2-7 is what I have on it.

My Bergara BMR Steel is so accurate that I wanted a scope to get the most out of it. I have a Burris Signature HD 3-15x44 on it. It has a basic duplex and big easy to read and work turrets. Amazingly accurate at 200yards. Granted it is on the big side but it is so much fun to shoot.

I put an Athlon Talos 3-12X40 mil dot on mine with the steel barrel. I picked it up second hand for $120 or else I'd have probably gone with the Duplex version. However, it is a good scope and I liked it so much I bought another mil dot to put on my Savage 93 .22 WMR when it comes back from getting threaded for my suppressor.

What are you guys (centershot and taylorce1) using for bases and rings for your BMRs? Thanks.

Moses,

My preference for a 22LR hunting scope is the now discontinued Weaver Classic Rimfire RV7 2-7 power (Japanese). They pop up for sale every once in awhile.

Here on Tikka T1X and a CZ Scout 22 LR's.

I’ve been playing scope roulette trying to find the perfect scope for mine. Tried a Burris Short mag, a 10x Burris and a Leupold 3-9 AO. Wasn’t in love with any of those. Have an Athalon Helos 3-12, SS 10x MQ enroute and a SS 2.5-10 rimfire backordered. Hoping one of them is a winner.

Bought Talley UL for the 1” options and plan to use the factory rail and SS rings for the 30mm ones.

Just stuck a 4-16 Arken lightweight on a ruger .22. Enough adjustment to reach just past 300 yards on a 20 moa base.....

I have a 2-7x Leupold on my BMR, as well as my Christensen 22 Ranger, and one of my Ruger 10/22s.

I've dabbled with other scopes with other 10/22s and my Tikka, but for a hunting rig, I'd rather not have to carry around more than I have to.

Dan

Did you have any issues zeroing that BMR with the 30moa base and Leupold?

I've got my eye on a 22 mag BMR and wanted to use a 2-7 as well, just worried about a 50 yard zero.

I have a Leupold Freedom 2-7x33 mounted in some Talley lightweights on my BMR carbon .22lr, I think it looks excellent ( not too big at all) as it is very easy to overscope these little rimfires and they look like chit!....Hb
