Only fished there a few times.
The way I understand it, those are stocked
trout. Never had any luck with any lures of
any kind.
After being advised to use bait, I began to
catch fish. Salmon eggs and worms.
There's a bait now ( Berkley?) that's scented
exactly like hatchery food
I have seen several people fly fishing in
the classic fashion, but never seen any of
them fighting or landing a fish
Best to have a daypack and walk from the
parking area with regular shoes and change
into your waders and vest and such when
you make the hike down
Good Luck
EDIT- there is some small toothy bream
sized fish in those rivers that will wear
out a Mepps or rooster tail or beetle spin.
They aren't in these lakes and rivers here
and never caught any local in all the decades
of fishing here. Not exactly sure what they
are, but scaled and fried they're really good
eats. I also used to catch a bunch of them
with these little minnow looking lures
called Renovsky, but I don't think they're
in business any more.
