I have a Late 50's / Early 60's Colt Huntsman

The original owner pruchased it after he returned from Korea.

Prior to my receivng it, he sent it out to a "gunsmith" to have it reblued.

These pistols have one part that is very particular about how it is placed in the firearm. The "gunsmith" could not ressemble the pistol - and I think he may have damaged that part.

I think I have all the parts - but I am not sure.

Are there any reputable gunsmiths out there who can assemble and / or replace any damaged or missing parts?

I learned to shoot with this pistol. I have a daughter whom I would like to teach with it also.

Any help would be MUCH apprieated.

Tom Platt, or 'Prewoodsman' can fix you up. He hangs out on the colt forum and rfc. Send him an email with your description and problem, along with your phone number and he'll fix you up.....

if all else fails, I can put you in touch with my gunsmith. He is 'retired' but still does things like this. He is more than qualified to put it back together, and to source parts if necessary. Robert Wilson, down in Ocala.
