I caught a clip of Steve Irwin’s family working at the Australia Zoo and they were talking about the metabolism of the Koala. They said that of the hundreds of different types of eucalyptus that the Koala preferred about 6 of them. The eucalyptus doesn’t provide a lot of energy which is why the Koala is such a slow and lumbering animal that sleeps 20 hours per day.
They are definitely a cute animal though. I wonder what they taste like?…..probably like chicken with a hint of eucalyptus….
