To throw a curve-ball into the mix, how about a Luxus Arms single shot, beautiful wood, handles like a wand....more like swinging a nice 20ga double than a rifle. A little easier on the wallet, and you can pick up an extra Bbl for $525 from Euro Optic and get a great switch barrel set at a reasonable price with very high quality. http://www.luxusarms.com

Looks good.

Yep, amazing rifle. The 375 H&H Bbl will put 270r Midway Blems into .75" at 100, have yet to shoot the 7-08 Bbl. Makes a great Safari combo or even hunting out West. They really do feel like pointing a nice 20ga Double.

+3 concerning Mark at First Stop in Rapid City SD.
He knows what he is talking about, is very customer friendly, and he is highly trustworthy. I've known him for about 10 years and first met him at SHOT in Vegas.
He can be contacted at 605-341-5211 and he owns First Stop.

Yep pretty but the break barrel action just does not do it for me.

I shot Norma Allan's Dakota 10 in .220 Swift for a day. Killed lots of prairie dogs with it.
Nice rifle.

The trigger was excellent.
But then, why shouldn't it be? After all, Norma owned half of Dakota and she and Paulette Kok ran the outfit.
I have no doubt that the gunsmith who assembled Norma's rifle made sure that everything was perfect.
It shot very well and I literally went "straight" with it ... hitting every prairie dog I shot at with the rifle, plus secondary kills (it was "puppy time.")

The used D10 in 7x57 at a LGS still haunts me, but my Ruger #1A shoots so well I really don't need another single-shot 7x57. Especially a plain-jane one that costs north of $3k. My Ruger is actually prettier than this particular D10. It's nothing at all like the one in the pic that Steve posted. One year the ACGG did a D10 in 35 Whelen for their annual raffle gun. It was on display at a LGS and I got to hold it. That particular D10 was really special, like Steve's. I bought a ticket but did not win it.
Our God reigns. Harrumph!!! I often use quick reply. My posts are not directed toward any specific person unless I mention them by name.
