We have a lot of suburban deer where we live. Sometimes when I step out at night I can see and hear them. Often I'll hear them bleat. It's way quieter than any commercial can bleat i've heard.
I've also heard bucks in the rut on the trail of does making sounds. Actually in the woods I've heard bucks grunting while fighting. Again, their sounds are way softer and quieter than any commercial grunt tube.
Anyone think commercial deer calls are fairly off on the sound accuracy and volume? I wish there was something better. I think we might be scaring more than we are attracting.
