Opinions section #13 last 7 lines.))))
The AR-15 and M4 are both designed to fire a .223 round that
tumbles upon hitting flesh and rips thru the human body. A single round is capable
of severing the upper body from the lower body, or decapitation. The round is
designed to kill, not wound, and both the AR-15 and M4 contain barrel rifling to
make the round tumble upon impact and cause more severe injury. The
combination of automatic rifle and .223 round is a very efficient killing system.
The same can be said of the AR-15

I was around in the early days of Vietnam.. I was a military dependent in the 60s... and being a military family, much of my old man's world revolved around about anything over Vietnam, especially from 1966 on....He went on to spend 49 months over there straight.
I got to read all the stuff, that he got on what the 223 round would do and why.. how it was designed to hit and tumble... designed more to incapacitate enemy troops than kill them... it could hit you in your shoulder and come out your ass...and messing up all the organs in your body in its path in and out.... Most of Vietnam was all short range fighting in the jungle vs longer range in Iraq, Afghanistan more in the open...
From personal experience, I can tell you that tumbling was from the bullet hitting certain mass at its velocity, within a short range .... yet you slow that bullet down, it will punch thru a lot of mass without ever tumbling... 91 Charlie training, taught us about that in teaching us how to take care of wounds...The Soviets later went down to 22 caliber bullets in the AKs, for the exact same reason... even learned more later on the Soviet design, which is contrary to the Geneva Convention... they aren't signers of it.. nor are the Chinks...etc.
If this guy is claiming it can cut a body in half, with one round, he is lying or being misleading for political purposes...
A high volume of fire tho, about any round can cut a body in half... hit with enough bullets....
hell over time I cut down a couple of pine trees over time, but single shooting a 223, one shot at a time into it as a back stop....
There is a big difference in a 223 in a AR 15, vs a full auto M16... but then we are talking short range and high volume of fire...
just because you see something on the internet, don't believe it all like you are some blind democRAT following the party's propaganda...
