Yes another Thanks for a well written, and picture complete account.
That is a fantastic country. I saw a few places I remember from my float trips.
You sure earn the meat by the time it is packed out.

Absolutely amazing family adventure. Thank you for sharing it with us. Congrats on the deer your family got. They're all great bucks. I'd be happy to take any of them.
You're doing it right my friend.

Thanks guys. When my time is up and I am looking back I am sure trips like these are going to make the "highlight reel".
My youngest is five so I still have ten more years of "youth hunts" and am already trying to plan something unique next year for my nine year old daughters first year of deer hunting next year. I am thinking something horseback would be memorable.

Glad you guys enjoyed the trip. My wife asked me to start writing down our trips and I figured adding pictures would be a good way to do it.

Like some here have said, probably one of the best write-ups and with pics to boot ever on the 'fire. That seemed like a fantastic adventure. Good on you and family. Awesome.

MedRiver: First Hunted that area in 1969 - your wonderful pictures bring back many memories of my many Hunts up that-a-way. What a wonderful family venture for you all - some non-Montana residents may not know that school just happens to be closed statewide on the two days of that "two day youth Hunt"! Many happy returns of the day to you and yours. Thanks for sharing. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

That looks like my idea of a perfect hunt. Whole family hunting together. I am afraid I am to old and way too stiff to negotiate those slopes though.
