I was a good game. I didn't have a favorite. BTW, I didn't watch it on TV. Had the car radio on.
Make Gitmo Great Again!! Who gave the order to stop counting votes in the swing states on the night of November 3/4, 2020?

Long time Chiefs fan here... glad they won for sure but I had a hard time making any predictions before the game. I just didn't know enough about the Eagles in detail other than they had the best record this year in the NFL and were thought to be a pretty consistent, well-balanced team on both sides of the ball. Contrast that with the Chiefs who always seem to have a knack for lapses in their defense, playing from behind or letting seemingly inferior teams back into games, often at home, and needing to win games at the very end, often in theatrical fashion... which came back to bite them several times this year. Add to that Mahomes less than perfect ankle and a bevy of injured receivers and I just never could make a bold call on this one!
I thought fans were rewarded with a great game which is all a fan can really ask for. For me personally, the only one that comes to mind recently that was maybe more entertaining, particularly at the end, was the Giants/Patriots game.
I hate to see the "controversial" ref calls at the end of close games, especially given the way Hurts and the Eagles had been moving the ball/scoring earlier in the game. It did seem to me that there were four of those calls made or changed, in my mind two for the Chiefs and two for the Eagles so it kind of balanced out in my mind. The Chiefs defense holding off the Eagles for the last two minutes would have only added to the joy/validity of the Chiefs winning for me personally but I will take it anyway!!!
The winners and losers last night were separated by very little last night. Too bad there has to be a loser but... no performance to be ashamed of for sure on both sides of the ball. The general NFL fan was the ultimate winner which is what "entertainment" is supposed to be all about... right! Same thoughts on the MVP award... had to go to Mahomes for many reasons BUT cannot discount the performance of the O-line, D-line and backers, Kelse (as usual), and others in their individual moments, even Harrison Butker!!! He has been a great kicker for the Chiefs overall but had his "moments" this year... glad it ended up on a high note for him, too.
Elated for my team the Chiefs, a little sad for the Eagles, go figure! Gettin' soft I guess as I get older.
Reminder to self: It is just a game.

Will add... as to entertainment value, I decided to pass on the halftime show. It had no value to me. Nothing personal against Rhianna, I just don't relate to her and her type. Glad America still has room for both of us and I really hope that can last for awhile for kids, grandkids, and so on.

That guy who "slid in safe" on the 2 yard line is a genius. I wonder if Mahomes told him to do that or if he thought it up himself. Think about it, he turned down a Super Bowl touchdown. For consolation, he does have a Super Bowl ring. That call comes from the HC but everyone on both sidelines knew that should happen. The announcers chatted about it prior to the play. If he walks it in there, Eagles get the ball with more than a minute left (and with a timeout) and if they go down and score, they can put the dagger in the heart of the Chiefs with a 2pt conversion. Andy Reid is an OG and a genius. Yup... Perfect clock management. When Mahomes got the ball back with five minutes left I was yelling at the screen for him to slow the fűck down, he could have easily scored leaving two or three minutes left Then they threw the short pass and the reciever went out of bounds after getting the first down. I'm thinkin what the fűck are you doing... 😁

And to think they were questioning Andy Reid's decision to defer receiving the ball until the second half right from the start given the Eagle's propensity to score on the first possession forcing other teams to play from behind right from the start. Hindsight is always 20/20 for sure but to Andy's credit, he is consistent and did believe in his team. Playing from behind, particularly in the second half is what the Chiefs do!!!

Packer's fan, so I don't have any vested interest in (or hatred for) the Chiefs or Eagles, but I was happy that Ndamukong Suh didn't get another ring. I remember his days with the Lions, and he was just a dick player. That guy who "slid in safe" on the 2 yard line is a genius. I wonder if Mahomes told him to do that or if he thought it up himself. Think about it, he turned down a Super Bowl touchdown. For consolation, he does have a Super Bowl ring. That was a smart move, for sure. A buddy stood to win $10k on his football pool, though, if he would have scored and the Chiefs made the extra point. He was pretty deflated to see his chances for ten grand evaporate, with that slide. He handled it well, but I could tell it stung!
Thoroughly enjoying Alaska since 2001.

Refs help chiefs win another game. No having a converted running back as a QB lost the game for the Eagles. Jills team lost cleanly

I’m not a big NFL fan but my wife is. So I watch some games. This was the best Super Bowl that I’ve seen. We actually went to SB VIII in Houston. Miami routed Minnesota. I don’t recall ever watching a half time show, including this one. The commercials that I saw sucked. And as far as that holding call that essentially iced the game, it was close, but since the player admitted it, he was holding. And not calling a penalty cause it’s late in the game and might impact the outcome of the game is BS. If you don’t want the penalty called late in the game, don’t commit the infraction. And it’s only a game.

The only thing truly great about the Eagles last night was their QB Because you would not recognize a QB if you saw one. Chiefs plan was to make Hurt a QB , it worked.
