I know they're pricey, but anyone own one of these? I'm specifically curious about how the Huber Concepts (2 ball match) trigger performs? I'm on the fence for a Husky 1640... either making a Timney fit (I ordered it but then shipments got delayed) vs. the Huber. I can't imagine G&H using a trigger that wasn't top-notch, but I've never actually held or felt the trigger on one.
Thanks y'all.

I know next to nothing about the G&H rifle but have wanted a Huber for one of my 1640 action rifles...got one a few months ago and installed on a 6.5 X55 rifle and have mixed feelings. I do like that one can use the factory safety. It is not a lot bigger than the actual factory trigger assembly but more dremeling was required than I expected. So far, I like the Huber trigger pull better than the stock trigger but if I had my preference, think I would rather have the factory trigger slicked up or a Timney and M70 type safety install.

Thanks for this info. I talked with John Huber via email and he was very friendly and willing to share info. But he also said that he couldn't quantify how the trigger pull weight or even the perceived pull would change from the stock trigger. That made me a little nervous, hence my decision to give the Timney a try. I don't mind having to remove a little wood for the Timney to fit if it provide a significant improvement over the functioning of the stock trigger.

What is it that you aren't totally pleased about... just the overall level of improvement over the the factory trigger?

Thanks again.

It may need some tweeking but the Huber has some take-up and not crazy about the safety function now. I did mount a Timney Deluxe with safety and the trigger pull was nice but didn't lock the bolt. Your results might be different...just my take.

Thanks. Any chance you recall how much wood you had to relieve for the Timney safety to fit? (Or any chance you've got a photo of the altered inletting back by the trigger?)

I didn't releave wood for Timney. I tried a Timney on a barreled action to see how it would work. It was the Huber I opened the stock for. THis does not require extensive wood removal but more than I expected.

Ah, 10-4. I've heard in other instances that the Timney required new space for the safety arm. Fingers crossed it isn't necessary on my stock!
