I recently downloaded an updated Lee shotshell powder bushing chart for the Hodgdon/IMR/Win family of powders and noticed that Win. 572 and Hodgdon Longshot are lumped together using the same bushings with the same volume.

Are Longshot and 572 the same powder with different labels like other select Hodgdon and Win powders?

I burned a lot of longshot when I quail hunted. It’s a good powder.

Good 10mm pistol powder with 180’s and 200’s.

Not sure about Win 572.

Use a lot of Longshot in 20 and 28 gauge loads

I used it for some 45acp +p loads. Never used 572 but I remember using 571 back in the day for Magnum 12ga

I have Longshot on hand, I was just wondering if W-572 was the same powder in the event Longshot isn't in stock.
