I'm from fuuuking Maine not New Jersey/ Guinea central...
And that Maine accent which is pretty fuuuking distinct still rears its ugly head at times even after leaving the place for good in 1983...

My wife's Mother moved here from Mass. around 1975, in her twenties.
You can barely hear it, and only with some words.
But get her talking about childhood or Massachusetts, and it comes roaring back.
When she and her mother would talk, I couldn't interpret fast enough!
