In SD we have a bounty on nest predators to help with the pheasants. I had assumed that the fox pop was low since I rarely see them like I did when I was a kid. My assumption was wrong. I catch them frequently. The bounty is $10 on Fox, badger, skunk, coon and opossum. My pheasant pop has gone up since the implementation of this program.

When I grew up in CO I ran a trapline for coyotes, fox, bobcats and coons. The fox we had were reds so I trapped, skinned and sold a bunch of them. But I haven't killed one since I quit trapping and doubt I will ever kill one again. They are pretty cool critters and I like seeing them so they get a pass from me. I have also killed my last bobcat so they get a pass as well. Coyotes are another story though.
You get out of life what you are willing to accept. If you ain't happy, do something about it!
