Only deer I’ve seen that were out of breath were ones that were in all-out rut chases. And those had probably been going for hours. I’ve watched some go non stop for 45 minutes in/out thickets. A single doe with 1/2 dozen young bucks take her to the county line and beyond. I’ve had deer pushed around by coyotes that were not out of breath.
