Because my crazy ass SIL died fom drinking too much. His dad is a great guy but my SIL was Bi Polar and continually threatened the dad with getting deported back to Africa. He graduated college, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is now working in DC. We’re working hard to rebuild their relationship. Again, if someone talked [bleep] about blacks in front of me and my nephew, I’d fugg them up. Permanently.

He didn’t understand how the system worked, and it works in favor of single mothers. He was trying to get citizenship and she was doing whatever she could to get him deported. My nephew spends Christmas with his dad, and 6 weeks during the summer. He was never allowed contact with his father before us. His crazy mom worked the system against him.

Look man, my original point was that I wouldn’t stand for person calling my nephew a niqqer in front of me. If you were raising a black kid you wouldn’t either. No real man would stand for it. Would I cut a guys throat, probably not. Would I crack him and stomp him, depends on the situation but it’s likely it would happen as soon as the words left their mouth. I don’t expect it to ever happen, nor do I wish it to. Reaction to a scenario like that plays out however it does at the time. There’s a lot to being a dad as you obviously know, I’m not questioning you at all. Just remember when your talking to him about things he’s going to hear (sorry it’s going to happen) that the only person who’s response and actions he can control are his own.

One funny to me story years ago when I was a young sergeant I had two b/m officers that worked for me I get a call to a request for a supervisor to respond to the scene. I get there and one of the black officers is clearly pissed the other one takes me aside. He said sarge I had to practically restrain the other officer from attacking the elderly white woman complainant on the original call. I asked why and he told me the woman had described the suspects in a theft as two young niqqer boys. He used those exact words the same as the elderly woman had. I take the other black officer aside and he tells me he was raised to confront anyone calling him a niqqer (except other blacks). I told him based on the woman’s age and being southern I thought the woman used niqqer as an adjective as this is how she was raised. After mediating the call with all parties it was exactly how I suspected. The only thing that surprised me on the call was the black officers reactions. The one that understood the woman was using niqqer as an adjective was from Hartford Connecticut the one who took offense was from New Orleans. The one who was initially offended told me a couple days later he had a lot to learn, he was correct.

Ptarmigan , I have a friend who’s is a state cop, black married to a white girl, she was a classmate and friend of my wife’s.
When its one on one he a great guy half the time no one would suspect him even being black. BUT when he is next to one of his black friends he turns into a niqqer. Changes his language changes his body features his actions. Totally different guy.
