Have three fingers of Bourbon first. The videos will go down easier.

I just like how he dresses!

Although I was born visible, I identify as invisible. I am Trans-parent. My pronouns are Who/Where.

Today we are going to talk about the aspects to do with this and the aspects to do with that. Now some people say this or that but those people haven't done it! I've been there and I've done it so I know! You see the fact is the 6.5 creedmoor sucks. Some people thinks it doesn't but it does and those are the facts.......Lol

My he’s sure proud of himself isn’t he. Name dropping has never been attractive.

Glad I had the wine lol.

I’m too old to watch his videos; ‘fraid I’ll not live long enough to get to the end.

Sorry for posting this. I forgot this is the forum where 99% of the members are expert’s on everything, including how a 70 year old man should dress. And that they are the only ones who are allowed to have an opinion on the correct way to do everything.
Have a good day.

I hear you, however, most don’t post YouTube videos that sound more like a Manifesto of axes to grind than an educational piece

Well said. If you put your opinion out for the WWW you can't be thin skinned about how folks comment about it.

If I recall right, Randy was trained by P O Ackley himself. Not a bad mentor.

I think he was friends with Les Bowman too. He's an interesting character, I've watched a few of his videos. My opinion, he is a great smith who probably builds some top notch rifles. But his opinions are like anyone elses on the internet, gotta take them with a grain of salt and just chuckle sometimes. I think my favorites are when he talks about something and mentions an expert then, "that'd be me".

I’m not being thin skinned about it. Like I said I ran into his videos by accident and watched a couple of them. The one I posted and the one about bullets, I’ve since watched the one on the ruger no1.
He’s definitely old old school and very opinionated but nowadays who isn’t. If you can’t change a 25 year olds opinion today you sure in the he’ll aren’t going to change a 70 year olds.
And by no means is he a great speaker but I kinda like listening to him. Should what he says be written in stone? Probably not. But in my opinion he does seem very knowledgeable and I’m sorry he’s not a fan of everyone’s 6.5 creed.
After I posted this I have since googled searched him and 24hour searched him. His name has come up on here before with the same reaction, good and bad.

Heavy Load, don't take offense to any of this. Just like his opinions, we all have them as well. I think some of his thoughts are spot on, his rants about some of the newer cartridges are kinda funny to me, especially since he is supposed to be a PO Ackley disciple. He busts alot of balls on the newer stuff when in all reality, Ackley would have been all over them like a fly on poop if they were around during his time.

Believe me One thing I’ve learned on here is that you can’t take anything personally, hard to do sometimes. But I assure you that I’m not taking this personally. His video popped up while I was watching a different video, so I checked him out. And I’ll admit he is a little boring at times but imo he is interesting to listen to.
You know how many 70 year old reloaders are out there that probably have reloading rooms that look just like that one and have wobbly presses mounted. Take a look at his room and all the [bleep] laying around, I bet he knows where everything is at. Lol
And as far as the way he is dressed, I mean what the [bleep] is that? The old man has been from WY, ID, CO his whole life. I thought that’s how they all dressed out that way. Hell I dress like that sometimes. We all can’t be in that high class classification. Hell those closes are probably older than most of the members on here.
And now nit picking his YouTube handle I mean come on petty [bleep] right there. The guy definitely has an arrogance about him but that describes a lot of members on here all so.
I’d like to hear from JB to see if he has run into THE REAL GUNSMITH over his years of travel.

"A lot of members here" weren't the topic of the thread.
