A coworker and myself (from Missouri) and dad (ole_270) from Kansas, flew out to Utah to meet up with a coworker that works in Northern Utah and basically lives in the water. He took us up high, kept us down on the edge of town, and took us up to some water in Idaho that he trades grocery sacks of cheese (we all work for a dairy company) for drive up access to a stretch of river that would require a many mile hike for the common guy. He thinks he is killing it gaining the access, and the landowner thinks he is killing it getting 50 lbs of cheese each trip.
Good times had by all. I'm pretty inexperienced at fly fishing, same for dad. Coworker buddy from here fishes a lot, and our buddy up there fishes almost everyday. Lots of learnings, lots of fun. No truly massive fish, but had a few over 20" and tons in the 16" range.
Cutty with some random fly that nobody can identify I found in my pack. Caught a ton of fish on it.
